My heart is full today as I count my blessings... We had an ultrasound done this morning, And got to see a beautiful little baby boy- A strong heartbeat, Perfect fingers and toes... God is an awesome Creator. I am thankful.   And I suppose I am more thankful for this life- Simply because I've lost a child. Children are a miracle,  From conception to the day they're born, and beyond. So today, even as we rejoice in our little buddy that will soon make our family a threesome, We also remember that we really are four.   And in God's perfect sovereignty, He chose to take our first little one, But this little guy He has chosen to protect thus far. We're grateful. And in awe of His awesome power. Life is precious,  Both lives lost and lives gained. Motherhood is a gift- And also a challenge... And although my journey to motherhood has not happened the way I thought it would, I'm thankful to be a Mommy,  ...

And just as I thought we were clear, Just when I expected to see my little one's form on a screen, The world seemed to come to a screeching halt. Test results were clear, And hopes were dashed, And all that I'd expected from motherhood... gone. Tears came then, in bucketfuls. I'd dreamed of a little face like mine or Carl's... But now had to face the fact that Marriah Joy's eyes will always be a mystery. I'd dreamed of a little one's snuggles, But instead faced the pains of miscarriage that ended with empty arms. I'd dreamed... Yes, I dreamed. With the ending of our wee child's life, We saw more than a life die, ...

Getting to have my sister in Missouri for the first time this past weekend! Date night with Carl tonight! He's my favorite :) Just the fact that I have such a sweet and loving husband, Who desires to follow Jesus with all his heart. I am blessed. Music,  And the chance to share it through lessons.
