It's Thursday, friends. :) And as I sat out in my backyard today,  Enjoying the sunshine, I looked back and saw this view. The Creator of this,  Of all earth and sky, Is worthy of my praise. So today I praise Him for: Life. Health. Sparkles. My cozy home. Classy dress. Sunshine, and it's much needed vitamin D. Light. The love story God wrote for me-- Is writing for me. Words. A limitless, unmeasurable God. The ability to worship one who is all sufficient, Who needs not my worship, But gives me the delight of offering it. Piano music. Art. Flowers. Birdsongs. Hope. Books that teach the fear of God. Truth.

Well,  I'm posting a day late. Cause life happens, And I get forgetful sometimes. But regardless of sickness in our house this week,  I want to take time to list some things I'm praising God for: Sunshine. Tea, Medicine, Time to rest, Infinite Grace, Infinite Mercy, Infinite Love, Infinite Righteousness, Infinite Justice, Infinite God. Good books. Wise teachers. The way He ties themes together. Music. Creativity, Art. Beauty. Truth. Prayer. Technology. Conversations with mom. Packages delivered to my door--even if they are simply groceries! My home. Psalm 121.

Today I can't help but think about this day last year, The day I figured out Carl was coming to surprise me, And propose. Needless to say, the surprise didn't quite work. But as I think about the things I'm thankful for, This past year is near the top of the list. It's definitely had it's challenges, But I'm thankful for a year of knowing the one I get to love, Above all others on this earth, Till Jesus comes back!  But to put that in perspective,  Top of the list is definitely: The gospel of Christ. That He lived, perfectly, Then died and rose again. All to establish the new covenant... Where it is His work, Not mine, That gives me right standing, Before the throne of the Majesty on high. Now that's something to be thankful for! In other news of things I'm praising God for this fine Thursday: Water, Mail, Birthday mail to be exact! :) Signs with written truth, Art, Creativity, Sunshine, 70...

Rays of Hope

I'm feeling bleak. Like the sky outside. And just like that, In the midst of the storm, He offers a ray of hope, A piece of answered prayer. And I'm reminded again, What a faithful God I serve. What an intimate God I serve. He knows my name, Knows my need, And when my faith feels about to break, He reminds me of His love. He doesn't give me the answers, But the peace that comes from not believing in coincidence.   Peace that flows from knowing  That HE will never leave me, Never forsake me, Will make known to me the path of life, And will bring fullness of joy in His presence, EVEN in the midst of the fog. And as this ray of hope pierces the dark, I'm reminded again that my HOPE is sure and steadfast, And it enters within the veil, Where Jesus has gone before me, To pave the way to the Father's throne. This is my Hope, friends, That I have full access to the throne room of Almighty God, Through the preci...
