Submission is Courageous

Dear Lady, Submission is Courageous. Don't try to tell me different. To submit is not to succumb- (to doormat life). No. Submission is heroic. It stands in the face of a watching world: Embracing trust, Shunning fear. And when questioned, Submission says with a smile, "My hope is in the Rock-my God." (Thoughts on 1 Peter 3)

When my heart is cast down, It's a choice to lift my gaze-- To focus on the all-glorious One, and give Him my praise. Today I thank God for: His protection. Safety in the storm. Sleep. His Word-my rock. Music. His great grace. Good news. His provision. Answered prayer. Warmth and shelter. Blankets. Resources for learning. Encouragement. Others' prayers. Access to the throne of grace.

Happy Thursday from the inn! I love this little desk... and the people I meet from behind it. This space has been a blessing today... for here my soul often finds it easier to be still. So in the stillness and the quiet, my heart wants to praise our all gracious God, for these simple things: Sunsets. Phone calls. Pictures and text messages. Love. Joy. Peace. His personal choosing and love of me. 1 John 3:1. The inn. Quiet. Journaling. Other's journals. My position seated with the Savior. Family. New horizons. Time. Prayer. Katie Joy. Carl. January. Four-wheeler rides. Hugs. People. Divine Appointments. Normalcy. Tea and tea parties. Mom. Grandma. Adam and his card tricks. Mornings. And so many more things could continue the list... I am beyond blessed.

Lines from Last Year's April Journal

6.   Oh Jesus, You know all that’s running through my head…its all a little crazy.   But God, You are in control.   Fix my gaze on You.   May my focus in all of this remain fixed.   You are the Beloved One of my heart. 7.   Well, my Jesus, It looks like I’m probably actually going to meet this guy.   C.   I pray, Lord, that You would give me a heart of love and grace as I think about and enter into this meeting Friday.   Keep my eyes fixed on You, and on Your gospel.   Lord, You are good.   Thank You for being the One who sovereignly directs our lives.   Because You are the Lord of my life and C’s life, I know we can trust You to work in this meeting or not meeting for Your honor and glory. 8.   Thank You for my friends, Jesus!   Encourage their hearts with Your gospel. 10.   Today just feels a little crazy, and I really have no idea what I’m getting myself into, but You are my God, and its in You ...
