Good afternoon friends!
This post comes to you from my kitchen counter as I prepare dinner :)
I've been blessed abundantly with produce, 
Both from my garden and the neighbors that I'm taking care of while they're gone...
So a part of planning and cooking meals is figuring out how to use what I have.
It's fun! :)

Today I praise God for:

His Son,
And the magnificent sacrifice He made on the cross,
Dying a death He didn't deserve to die,
To give me a life I don't deserve to live.
I'm thankful for Jesus.
Fresh vegetables,
Beautiful flowers,
A flower garden in full bloom to welcome us home,
Time visiting my sister,
And memories both looked back on and made,
Smell of fresh basil and cilantro,
My husband,
Piano students,
Good conversations,
Truth,
God's Word-
Particularly the portions stored in my heart,
Plums,
Hummus,
Guacamole,
Family,
Time to rest and be refreshed,
Berries,
Date nights,
Water and it's calming affect on my soul,
The gospel-
The power of God for salvation to all who believe!

Hope . . . I love that word!  It's a word that brings so much life & joy, but only when it's used rightly. Our Love Story (Part 3)

(Missed the earlier installments?  The story starts here:  Our Love Story-Part One ) A week and a half after our first meeting, I was sitting at my desk at work, and had just told KJ to pray I would hear from him soon. (Or maybe I just needed patience?) Opening my facebook messages I discovered one that started with, "Dear Allison," And the rest is history. The Story Behind Her Eyes

Wait, When did those eyes staring back at me change? When did the girl become a woman? There's a story behind her eyes. Was it when she realized love hurts... But is still SO worth it? When the world became a little more black than white? Was it when life became a series of routine days? When joy became a choice? Or, I know, When the perfect walls came crashing down? Actually, no, I don't know. When does the face of a girl change? Behind the story in her eyes, I still see joy. Still see the girl inside. She's just . . . aware.
