Blessed!

It's Thanksgiving week, and as I think over the things that God has blessed me with, these are a few that come to mind:
  • A Clear Conscience
  • Jesus' precious and unconditional love for me
  • Friends: The ones that challenge me, the ones that talk to me about everything, the ones that make me laugh, the ones that just like to give me a hard time (sigh . . . I guess I'm thankful for them ;), and the ones that do life with me . . . particularly them.  
  • My senses, especially the ability to hear and see.  
  • The color GREEN!  :)  
  • Actually, all colors for that matter.  
  • My amazing family
  • Music
  • The B-I-B-L-E
  • My job
  • The challenges God puts in my life to help me grow.
  • A God who invites us to participate in His Story
  • Warmth that comes from within and also from blankets, sweaters, heat, etc.  
  • Eternal Life, and the anticipation of it . . .
  • The list could go on and on, but that's just a few of my favorites =)

Hope . . . I love that word!  It's a word that brings so much life & joy, but only when it's used rightly. Our Love Story (Part 3)

(Missed the earlier installments?  The story starts here:  Our Love Story-Part One ) A week and a half after our first meeting, I was sitting at my desk at work, and had just told KJ to pray I would hear from him soon. (Or maybe I just needed patience?) Opening my facebook messages I discovered one that started with, "Dear Allison," And the rest is history. The Story Behind Her Eyes

Wait, When did those eyes staring back at me change? When did the girl become a woman? There's a story behind her eyes. Was it when she realized love hurts... But is still SO worth it? When the world became a little more black than white? Was it when life became a series of routine days? When joy became a choice? Or, I know, When the perfect walls came crashing down? Actually, no, I don't know. When does the face of a girl change? Behind the story in her eyes, I still see joy. Still see the girl inside. She's just . . . aware.
